busy busy busy bee

Hey guys.  Sorry for my lack of blogging these past couple of weeks.  Like I said before, I have a some big assignments right now at school so bla bla bla bla.....you get the point.  But I am writing to you today about my weekend with my dad and sister.  I will give you a little recap of all the awesome things we did.

Well they arrived on Thursday evening and right away we all cracked open an ice cold beverage.  Then, after our short little happy hour, we headed over to a restaurant called People's Pint.  I had a burger for the first time in about 5 months and it was MARVELOUS.  We then went to my apartment and I gave Kristin the grand tour.

On Friday, Kristin came to school with me in the morning.  I think she paid attention more than I did :)  ok so I KNOW she paid attention more than me.  I also think she referenced what she learned in those 2 classes as many times as she could the rest of the weekend.  For lunch, we met up with my dad for pizza at Antonio's.  There was leftovers so of course I kept them and will be enjoying pizza for lunch this week :)  In the afternoon, dad and Kristin both came to school with me and I photographed them both in the portrait studio.  It was a great time, and I think I got some great photos of them!  After that, we headed to Northampton and checked out all the cute little stores downtown.  Kristin found a birthday present for Jenny and we also went to this cute little candy store and we both picked out 2 chocolates to have for a bed time snack.  Kristin picked 2 mint ones, Dad chose one coconut one and one caramel one, and I chose one peanut butter one and one marshmallow one.  For supper, we ate at Taylor's Tavern in Greenfield.  My meal was ok.......yes, just ok.  Later at the hotel, we tried our chocolates.  I used my dads pocket knife to cut them all into pieces so we could all try each flavor.  Me and Kristin both voted that the chocolate and marshmallow one was the best.

On Saturday we woke up bright and early and headed for Boston.  Once we got there we went to the science museum.  It had some really neat stuff but it was extremely packed so it was hard to see everything.  We then went to this nearby mall and looked around a bit and then shared a small and late lunch.  We then started to head towards the hotel.  Traffic was really crazy though so it took us a very long time to get there.  After we got checked in we had a libation or two, then took a cab to Legal Sea Food.  Legal Sea Food is a really popular seafood restaurant that my friend Melissa suggested to us AND its where the White House gets their clam chowder for all of their inaugural dinners.

And finally on Sunday, me and Kristin went to Harry Potter; the Exhibition.  It was a special exhibition at the science museum but there weren't any tickets available when we were there on Saturday.  The exhibition included REAL props and costumes that were used in the movies.  It was AMAZING.  I didn't want to leave.  I got to see Hermione's pink dress she wore to the Yule Ball in HP and the Goblet of Fire, Lord Voldemorts flowy dress he wears in the graveyard scene at the end of the Goblet of Fire, and all of the actual wands they used---just to name a few specifics.  After Harry Potter, my dad picked us up and we went to Quincy Market.  We looked around a bit, then grabbed a quick lunch at the hugest food court ever.  We then drove back to Greenfield and went to the hotel.  For supper we ate at 99-an applebee's sort of restaurant--and then I worked out at the hotel. Me and Kristin bonded while watching the Kardashians and then we went to bed!

It was a great weekend and I'm having a hard time getting back into the swing of things at school.  I'm glad I was on top of all of my assignments so I am not feeling rushed after taking a few days off.  So here are a couple of pictures that Kristin, my dad, and me all took together on Friday.  Oh, how I love self timers!

  1. A couple notes from this excellent post:

1)Nothing I love more than an ice cold libation.
2)You need to eat more meat.
3)Let me know if you have any questoins about composite photos.
4)I'm still disappointed in the mint chocolates... however the dark chocolate with shmellows rocks.
    5)Legal Seafood = amazing.
6)HP = amazing. My favorite part was possibly in Hagrid's Hut... maybe...I'm still thinking.
7)I enjoyed the world's biggest food court also.

All in all - excellent weekend.

    Good picture too. :)
