Arne, Steph, Maia & Liv

Heyyy everyone.  So summer has officially started!  Yayyyy!

While at school I was lucky enough to meet Arne and Steph.  They are a wonderful couple and I am so glad I got the chance to work with them.   I photographed Steph while she was pregnant (which is the first photo, obviously :) and then when she had the babies they invited Vanessa and me back to photograph Maia and Liv.  Maia and Liv are so adorable and have the cutest names!  Don't you think?

Ok so here is the photo I used for my Phase III portfolio and is of Steph when she was about 7 months pregnant.

And here are the girls!!!  Maia and Liv at about 2 months old.
Maia is on the left, Liv is on the right.

Liv smiled very easily and was very laid back.

My favorite one of Liv!  Isn't that yawn the most adorable thing EVER?

Here is Maia.  She is a bit more serious than Liv and didn't like being too close to her sister.

The Chase Family; Part One

So wedding season has officially started for me!!! This past Saturday was my first wedding in Fargo this year and it was fabulous!  But I will post more on that in a week or so.  For now here are some pictures of the Chase Family.  They were so fun to work with!  More pictures from this session will come later this week.

The first picture is one I handed in for my final portfolio and also one of the judges favorites.

Taasi

Heyy all!  So throughout my whole year at Hallmark I was lucky enough to photograph Taasi quite a few times.  She is such a great model and puts up with all of my weird requests.  Thanks again Taasi!!!

Here is the image of Taasi I used for my final portfolio:

I'M BACKK!

Yay!  After a week of no blogging, I'm happy to say that I'm back and will return to my normal blogging schedule.  I've got everything pretty much set up....and I'm pretty much in love with my IMAC.  Let's just say it's bigger than my TV.

While I was at school I joined a gym in Greenfield and there I met Alicia (she works at the gym).  I was lucky enough to photograph her a couple of times and I used her as a bride on a magazine cover for my final.  The first image is the final portfolio image.

I just love how all of these turned out!  Thanks again Alicia, and I will miss seeing you at the gym :(

A week off.

Hey all!  How was your guys' Memorial weekend???  Mine was pretty excellent, except for my allergy flare up on Sunday.  So here's the story.  On Saturday I drove up to Cambridge, New York to stay with my friend Bridget for the weekend.  Once I got there we drove to Saratoga, NY to do some shopping.  After finding a few bargains, we headed back to her place.  So the past couple weeks my allergies have been pretty bad especially from photographing in fields and such.  I'm definitely allergic to some kind of pollen, but who really knows.  So back to Bridget's house---a house that includes a cat.  My dad and Lexi are both allergic to cats and it turns out I am too.  I woke up Sunday morning and my left eye was sealed shut with gunk.  Ya, I know, gross.  It only got worse from there.  When my allergies flare up my eyes get super itchy and then my left eye gets some sort of bump underneath the lid which then pushes my contact to the back of my eye everytime I blink.  It's super pleasant.  So I had to take that contact out.  And anyway to wrap up the story we ended up spending a good 2 hours at the clinic and I ended up with FOUR prescriptions.  One for the infection in my eye, one for my allergies, a nasal spray and one for my overall congestion and sore throat.  And then I had to drive back to Greenfield.  With only one contact in.

So fast forward to today, which was the very first day of portfolio reviews.  My review was the first one after our lunch break and it was verryyyy nervewracking.  I passed, but honestly I didn't really feel that much relief because the judges tore apart some of my images.  Not literally tore them apart, just nitpicked them to no end.  Super frustrating.  But I'm still glad I passed.  On the BRIGHTER side, I get to see my mom and dad in less than 24 hours!!  Yayyy!  That means no more tuna fish, finally getting to sleep in the wonderful airconditioning that our hotel will offer, getting to enjoy a libation or two :) and of course starting on our wonderful roadtrip back to HOME!  And I'm not even being sarcastic about our roadtrip being wonderful.  I honestly can't wait.  It is so fun just being on the road, staying in hotels, dad and me picking on my mom, etc.  So here comes the bad news for you devoted blog readers.  Since I will be on the road till Sunday, I'm not going to have too many blog posts between now and then.  I will hopefully get my computer set up by Monday and then I will be back to my regular blogging routine.  So I hope you guys all have a great rest of the week and weekend.  I know I will!!!!

So since I am SOOOO excited to be moving back home, I will leave you with a few pictures of some "people" that I CAN'T WAIT to see and hang out with again when I get back!!!!
